The innovative maintenance concept, Condition Based Service (CBS), goes one step further. CBS calculates and monitors the status of wearing components and fluid levels as well as time- and mileage-based services. As a result, rigid service schedules have become a thing of the past. It also checks the time/km recommendations for service intervals. It analyzes this data and tells you when a service is next due. This information can be checked at a glance in your InfoDisplay or Control Display (depending on the model you drive). The Service Requirement Indicator on the InfoDisplay automatically gives you four weeks notice so you can plan your service appointments well in advance and avoid any unnecessary maintenance work.
